Mono-material polypropylene Decoplas™ tube
Edelweiss, Aisa’s first Decoplas™ mono-layer solution, is a Ø50 mm PP tube composed of a 400µ mono-extruded sleeve and 40µ thickness film with reverse printing, offering high collection and recycling potential. The shoulder is made by compression moulding on our famous PTH header.
Mono-layer does not mean that the barrier capability is compromised. On the contrary, multiple barrier solutions are available, which are at least as valid as with traditional extruded tubes. This tube also offers wide opportunities for weight reduction while keeping the “touch feel” of an extruded PE tube.
The key Decoplas™ advantage demonstrated here is its flexibility to produce different material combinations using the same technology or production line.
