Indexed Injection Moulding
■ What is it?
Indexed injection heading machines have been developed over the years to serve speciality tube applications such as twist-off, tamper proof or single-use head styles, as well as head styles with applicator tips for various applications.
1. The sleeve (E) is loaded on the mandrel.
2. Once the mandrel and mould are in the injection position; the extruder dispenses the necessary amount of melted material to form the shoulder / cap.
3. Cooling.
4. Tube unmoulding and unloading.
A. Raw material
B. Extruder with axial pressure piston
C. Mould
D. Mandrel
E. Sleeve

OVERMOLDING+
A new breakthrough in overmolding
■ What is it?
30 mm snap-on, low-density polyethylene barrier cap is made from an in-line aluminium barrier film die cut into a disc shape and placed into the mould. The disc is then overmolded to create the final barrier snap-on cap.
This process eliminates the need for a pre-cut aluminium film by performing in-line die cutting. Together with high-speed output and 100% inspection, it is sure to produce high-quality final parts at an optimised price.

■ 8 stations and 8 moulds
- Up to 72 cavities (9 per mould)
- Travelling moulds on a rotary platform
- Hot runner not inside the mould
- Independent cavity filling
- For a higher output, fewer parts produced simultaneously
